I entirely agree with our esteemed forum moderator that the new IWC catalogue is excellently done. To Michael's quibble about the absence of any reference to our forum, I would add my disappointment that in the section devoted to the various IWC movements, there appears to be nothing about the movement powering the Mark XVI, Spitfire or Portofino watches.

If, as many maintain, the ETA-based movement is so heavily modified according to IWC's specifications as to become virtually a different movement, it would, I feel, have been entirely justifiable for the company to tout its merits along with those of the purely in-house movements.

I would like to see more respect for the 30000 caliber movement!

Only in-house movements: it's a choice

I can imagine that the catalogue only shows the products that IWC really makes. So straps, glasses etc. are not shown. As the ETA and Piaget movements are not made by IWC they are not shown, it's OK by me. And the catalogue is alrerady quite thick. What I really hope is that all models are shown, like the rose gold VC watches, if they are still produced.

Paul, the RG VC version is indeed included

in the new catalogue. I am still working my way through this years edition.
