    Hello.

    I'm new to the forum.

My recently deceased father was a keen watch collector. Whilst going through
some of his collection this morning I came across this 10AF/807, serial number
    NI485.

It is a working watch, though I haven't been able to test the
electroluminescent feature. Has anyone got an idea of how I can test this?

l'm a keen aviation enthusiast so very excited to find this.

    regards

    Gary

    Hi Gary

You have to apply 48 Volts DC and the dial should start to glow,

There has been an article on Watches in Air Force Cameras in the HJ in the mid
2000s giving some details on this type of watch.

Do you have the movement No. of your camera watch?

Dear Gary, is the case number you have simply the N.I. 485 or does the case
has a seven digit case number?

    Hi again Gary

N.I. 485 is the RAF ID. The case No. - if any, but I'm pretty sure it has
one - is given on the inner side of the back. It is a seven digit number as
the movement number is, you will find in the slot between the center bridge
and the balance cock. These numbers allow to judge on the year of production
    and authenticity.

    Regards

    Thomas
