    Hi All,

My oldest IWC is circa 1943 and has a red radium dial with what I think is a
calber 61 movement. The case is 18ct gold.

Does anybody have a similar model to this? I cant seem to find many IWCs from
this period in gold cases and radium dials.

Please post a few photos of your '40s IWCs.

    Hi Jamestaylor,

yes, the fourties, there are some watches in my collection from that aera.

First we start with a Cal. 70 Watch. Only 4800 movements of this calibre have
been produced form 1945 to 1946.

This example was produced in 1945.

And there is anotherone from the 1940s

a Cal 83 INCA in an oversized 18k YG case. In 1943 the first batch of Cal 83
equipped with an Incablock shock protection assembly have been produced. In
the 1940s, teardrop lugs seemed to be modern.

    Hello Tonny,

what a beauty. Your Cal. 83 is also from 1943 must be the lat run without
shock protection on the balance. Look at the finely detailed center wheel -
minute wheel. I love the thin "spokes". Thanks for showing it on the forum.
