2 days with the case...

i have now had "the case" as we are calling it at home for 24 hours and still struggle to stay away from them for more than a couple of hours at a time.
my wife is going berserk.
i have worn only the aqautimer and only for a couple of hours. it is my favourite so far. it feels great on the wrist.
one question i need answered... the watches take ages to warm up to wrist temperature. is this just the platiunum? having never had anything but gold or SS before i have nothing to compare it to but it feels really cold all the time (and seriously heavy!).
really enjoying them though, but too scared to wear them out of the house.

I can understand the reluctance to step outside the door without an armed guard. I can't respond to the cold case syndrome, but I can attest to the heaviness of PT. I tried on the PT Big Inge and is was a serious piece of precious metal.

My Platinum Portuguese 2000 has a big-as$ display back so I've never experiences the 'coldness' of the metal.

watch that the general public has no idea about the value of fine watches. Unless you point it out, everyone will think its stainless steel anyway. I'd wear each and every watch proudly. Even in the worst scenario you are still insured.
Wear them and enjoy!

good point, but...

if a watch get lost or stolen, the "whole" value of the case is compromised a each watch is numbered along with the case. You could replace a watch (for a limited time) but it would be numbered differently.
i will definitely wear them, but for most days i will stick with my SS IWC's.

I have never had a problem with platinum taking more then seconds to adjust to wrist temperature. If I could, all my watch cases would be platinum. It is easily my favorite metal.
