OK another question on these little gem - if they are available in the summer does anyone know how many are liely to be available? Will IWC release them for a limited period and in limited numbers?

Distribution of new models....

None of IWC's new models are made in huge quantities. Even if an initial product run is several thousand, given the number of "doors" --separate dealer locations-- each will get one, none or a few at best. And not all can be produced and distributed on the same day. There's a lot of countries to which to send watches.

I don't recall specifically, but I think the U.S. --just to use an example-- might be getting a few hundred, and those intially will arrive in small lots, such as ten or so. Given that, in the U.S. generally the first allocations are to the boutique and then to some of the key dealers. I suspect fo the first month the only store in the US to have any mmight be the Beverly Hills boutique, and those might be presold.

Therefore, if you are interested I woud suggest that you contact a boutique in your country, or if none a dealer than might be recieving a larger order (or a boutique in another country). They can check on delivery better than here, and also tell you what the story will be for them.
