The ever-increasing group of collectors who are eager to meet with the famous Bill B. - whos name is forever linked to the event - met June 3 again, unaware yet of the horrible event in London. It is a crazy world.

I can’t share lots of photos as I forgot to bring a spare battery and my main battery was at 20-25% when I left home. I am sure others will give you a nicer view on the event. Traditionally, the event starts with a GtG in the Vondelpark, followed by a visit to a boutique to get greedy and release some dopamine in the brain, a boat ride through the canals and a wonderful dinner at the Okura hotel.

There was big news during the day! It wasn’t Mark’s participation in a ladies bachelor party (photos will be censored for sure) but the official announcement of the fourth Collector’s Forum Special Edition Watch: the Aquatimer Automatic “CF4” (ref. IW3410-01) in a limited edition of 250 pieces. The watch houses a brand new high-end! in-house automatic movement calibre 82110 with a 60-hour power reserve. The event was two weeks too early, otherwise we would have seen the real thing but it is a very good looking watch indeed! But let me tell you: it is a watch that is worth carrying the description "collector's forum watch".

The moderator will share a lot more info and photos with you tomorrow.

    Some photos:

Mark brought his bag. Enough space for new watches!

Countless number of photos were made of watches:

The 3D printed model of the CF4:

If you can’t see the real thing, the ipad images will do:

Tilo is dreaming of the new CF4 on his wrist:

A well, the chrono will do too:

OK, I can add a few from the visit to the IWC shop. Thanks to everybody for a great weekend and especially to Mark and Tonny for all the hard work.

argh! while I love the fact that there will be a CF4, plus the fact that it is an aquatimer with a brand new movement!

Nonetheless, it does create a dilemma for me. I was really interested in the upcoming Aquatimer Ocean 2000 35th limited edition. With this CF4 on the horizons, that makes the decision rather tough for me.

    argh. decisions, decisions.

Thanks for the wonderful pictures! I am still working on the report from Saturday, below is my story of the Friday evening event.

I opted to not stay in Amsterdam so I had an excuse to drive to Amsterdam in my Boxster. The weather was great so I was able to drive with the roof down. In the parking, I found a nice spot next to a 911 :-)

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1082.jpg

Mark L had sent us the location to meet beforehand:

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1084.jpg

I got pretty close but decided to stay on land :-)

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1085.jpg

We went to the other side with one of the ferries and after an elevator ride to the 20th we arrived in the ADAM tower for our dinner.

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1086.jpg

Here you can see how high we really were. The glass was strong enough to hold even several people, we even tried jumping on it...

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1087.jpg

The view over the 'IJ' was amazing as you can see in this panoramic shot:

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1088.jpg

As I was my own designated driver, I opted for the Heineken 0.0 for the evening:

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1090.jpg

We had a 3 course dinner, I started with the Steak Tartare which was very nice.

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1092.jpg

Oliver and Tilo had a hotel in Amsterdam so they could enjoy proper drinks :-)

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1093.jpg

The Big Pilot from Tilo is really stunning and I was happy to be able to catch the nice sunburst pattern on the blue dial

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1096.jpg

Christian was wearin the Ingenieur 3227 CF1 edition, a very special piece with a grey dial

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1099.jpg

The main dish was duck breast, also very nice

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1101.jpg

Anders brought a very nice old Aquatimer, forgive me if I don't know the reference but if I recall correctly the watch is fifty years old now.

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1102.jpg

I finished the meal with a small cheese platter

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1104.jpg

A closeup of the grey dialed Ingenieur:

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1105.jpg

Here you see a picture from the building from outside. The black circle you see in the top is the aperture we were using to look down

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1106.jpg

Too bad we left before the sun totally set, it would have been nice to see that from the top of the tower. The view from the ground wasn't too shabby either.

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC/AMS201706/1107.jpg

Looking forward to see more pictures of others who were present, I hope to find some time to write my story of the Saturday events.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens
