30110 vs. 35111

I've been intrigued by the Mark XVIII line, especially the "Tribute to Mark XI" and "Heritage" models. However, from what I've read these appear to be fitted with the 35111 movement versus the 30110 of the standard versions. I assume this was done to keep the price down while still offering unique features, but I wonder if it's at the cost of reduced quality and performance. It appears that the brown dial Mark XVIII also uses the 35111.

Can anyone offer any insight on this? Is one better off purchasing the standard Mark XVIII based on the caliber?

Mark, thanks for responding. Yesterday I went to my local AD and looked at the two models I mentioned in my original post with the intention of choosing one to purchase. Today I returned to the store and left with a 327001 AND a 377713. I was considering the 377709 but the red subdial second hand put me off. I really wish IWC would return to the original designs we all know and love.

Both the ETA and the Sellita based movements have been significantly modified by IWC to exacting standards. Although I have a preference for the former, having the whole (current)  set of Mark XVIII models I haven’t noticed any real differences in the accuracy or precision of timing.

It is a custom Horween Pull-up leather strap made by a Toronto based strapmaker. 
IWC could not supply a 20x20 strap. I didn’t really feel like buying another 18mm tang buckle, or taking one off my other watches, so I had one made so I could use the buckle off the NATO.
