Congratulations on a significant milestone. Hope to get a chance to meet you some day, Alan. Even though I feel I already have...
Fantastic post Alan, great knowing you!
Greetings from the Netherlands,

A few additional observations.
@ Clemens. I still go back and look at pics of your Pisa. A wonderful story which led to this acquisition.
@Greg, Hope to meetup one day where I can drive on the wrong side of the road and take a "safe" Nad shot! LOL
@ Norberts, I know we met a few years ago in Schaffhausen. Hope to see you again soon.
@ Bas, hope to meet up soon.
@Thang, I look forward to meeting you and exchanging some good watch stories.
@Roberto, love the picture. Best regards to Christina.
@Bob B, you were the inspiration for my GST Perpetual.
@Ardoise , I will own an ardoise dial IWC some day!
Congratulations Alan
i am on the way to have 400 !!!
Regards from Hamburg

The last few days I was at Bucherer to take looks at the 5026 Blue White Gold
A very very beautiful watch :-)
That blue beauty has been in my thoughts a lot. Especially as the USD approaches parity with the Swiss Franc. I know it's only a matter of time...
Yes.I am as well still thinking about it but i have the 5026 Cellini and the 5026 Orange.
So i don`t really need it....Maybe....
I think there a 20-25 sold already.
If the Dollar and the Swiss Franc are parity i think it is a very good chance to get for a acceptable price
Alan,
If it's when not if, go for it! Remember life is short my friend. LOL, just trying to help.
Regards,
Kevin
Alan, thanks for a great post --too bad we don't have a "post of the week" like the old days.
But, what I'd like to know is how many IWCs you've acquired during the period you made 4000 posts. I'm trying to figure out a purchases/posts ratio. ;)
We'll have to get together to celebrate!

Celebrate we will...and soon too. LOL
And I have purchased an even dozen IWC watches during this time frame. So about 333 posts per purchase. I guess I'll be due for another watch in a few months. WG BPP from Bucherer?? Hmmmmmm......

incredible blue piece - u guys really have me going on a blue acquisition.
Gee Alan, I'm touched (and so is my cardiologist!)
4,000 posts is truly an unblievable milestone for a shy guy who keeps his opinions to himself.
I've actaully gone back into the archives and catalogued all your posts. Here is the breakdown.
3,825 -- Nice watch!
46 -- Nice shots Nad!
72 -- it was great meeting you in __.
33 -- this is my favorite DFB
14 -- I love the New York Boutique. When can I move in?
6 -- damn SC that is a great watch
2 -- Shing, I can't wait to get to HK
2 -- don't try to change the date on the perpetual between 8 pm and 4 am
Don't ever change! Love you Brother!
Larry
Well how about a group shot of the current collection in order of purchase and if need be a list of the departed - sold! Plus a bit of a synopsis of why they became part of you collection

Greg,
Traveling for a few weeks. But the order of purchase was 5001, Carlson Doppel, Bucherer BPP, GST Perpetual, Plastiki, AT 2000, DFB Ingy, Blue BP, Plastiki 2, DFB Doppel, St.Ex, DFB BP. I have them all except for the blue BP which was recently traded for something non IWC.

Thanks to all who responded to my 4000th post.
In commemoration I am going to drive myself crazy trying to decide which blue dial beauty is next.
