It ran out of power reserve as I did not wear it for more than a week and I began to fully wind it up last night, followed by setting the time. To my surprise, the crown became loose, I could remove the crown by further unscrewing it. Anyone faced this issue before? Your great advise will be very much appreciated.

Sorry for the blur photo as I am shooting from my iPhone. I think it is time to send it in for servicing.

Is crown most vulnerable part of watch?

That makes sense, it is the interface between the outer and the inner world of the watch, and as anybody should know, interfaces are notoriously vulnerable to all kinds of undesirable issues. By the way, some kings had issues with there crown too.

I have at least two colleagues that had crown issues like yours, and that is no coïncidence when you see some other watch fora. What about sending the iPhone in for servicing too?

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing issueless rose gold Saint Exupéry Chrono

    It is a bad experience

but I believe it is nothing IWC service cannot deal with, good luck and keep the faith.
