I recently bought a 5007-05 which I obviously love and the strap came reversed (directly from the AD), making it very uncomfortable. I normally would not think twice about it and just have it fixed, which I will, but I am curious since the same thing happened to my 5004 5 years ago (2 in 2).

It makes me wonder why this happens and if the strap has been replaced or else. It also increases the chance of scratching the case while putting it back in the proper way.

Also, are there different strap lengths and if so, what are the codes on straps to know what's what?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to enjoying this wonderful timeless work of art in good health!

Hi, there are normally 3 sizes. Next to the regular one, there are also the XS and the XL. The dealer knows the codes.

Possibly alligator straps are shipped separately from watches in certain markets to facilitate customs?
