The seven digit number on the back of the case is the serial number. Presuming
it is an authentic IWC watch (not a fake with a number like "2345678"), you
can access the Date Your IWC website and input the number to find the
approximate age.
Thank you. Yes of course it's authentic. I shall check the site and date my
3719-28 and 3714-45.

I don't think it will work.
The database for Date Your Iwc only has entries for watches 10 years and older
I see. Thank you very much. The software looked kinda tricky too. Would be
great if there is a table of reference. Much like Rolex, Panerai, and Seiko.
The IWC reference number tells you everything about the watch family.
Using a website like Watchbase, will tell you what years the watch was made
and what Caliber is inside.
