I just got my superb Ingenieur Chrono Racer (Ref 3785) which is using the 89361 calibre.
Compare it with my old Ceramic Ingenieur Climate Control (ref 3234)which was using the 80111 calibre during the date change moment, the 80111 have a crisp date change at 00:00 while the Chrono Racer's date started moving from about 11pm and do not have the "crisp" change of 80111 calibre.

    Is it normal?

My 3785 is the same starting at around 11pm and flicks over at midnight, this is normal. It is the same as other in-house chrono movements and the same as the ETA7750.

I have a watch with the same caliber, same starting point of changing the date.
