Perhaps this community will appreciate one of my favorite little vintage IWC watches. Nothing terribly special, but representative of nice watches that IWC made at the time, with a fairly early cal 852 Pellaton automatic. I particularly like the dial markers with coffins at 3-6-9-12.
I purchased this from the wife of the original owner after he passed away. He was a long-time member of our NAWCC chapter, and he bought the watch in Zurich in 1952 for the equivalent of $80. He purchased it with the Gay Freres bracelet at the time, and rarely wore it because he mainly carried pocket watches.
