Love the PD IWC's. Very nice Tonny. I fully intend to add one to my collection sooner or later.

This model is indeed an icon, because this model rescued IWC during the "Quartz" crisis.

And its worth to look inside. The movement finishing is also great.

I'm an admirer of the Porsche Design IWC's. There have been some excellent articles and pictorials posted on this forum about the various military and civilian variations. This would be my choice for a first entry into vintage IWC's if the opportunity presented itself...great watches Tonny and Bill!

I am not aware of one designer who was able to integrate the chrono pushers in such elegant way in the case as Alexander Porsche did.

I know, quartz isn´t part of the preferred taste, but the "Reiseuhr" was a very usefull item at that time and should be part of the other PD by IWC classics.

That complication was really made for travelling, including an alarm funktion.

And it has a complicated modular case, with integrated screwable lugs for strap or bracelet. The identical bracelet as the OCEAN.

At that time it was ahead of its time and has a decorated JLC based movement.
