A Founders' Find

With great thanks to the IWC collector community and Mr Mark Levinsohn in particular, I am able to reveal my latest IWC pocket watch aquisition - and what a beauty she is! Thank you Mark for leading me to my earliest example of the good, quality caraftmanship from Scahffhausen. A quintessential piece in any serious IWC pocket watch collection, this piece gives me goosebumps to think of the history that it reperesents:

As this was a movement made to be cased and sold in America it is inscibed International Co, New York and fitted into a Brooklyn-made Crescent Watch Case Co. case. Even the case is a beautiful piece of history in nickel alloy with reeded edge and screw-down back:

I think it is now hopless - the virus is strong.

Ben, what a beauty.  The virus is indeed virulent and you have a very serious infection.  Congrats.
