Inspired by Bill B. I finally went out and got myself a new digital SLR, a Nikon D800. Here are a first couple of shots showing off some great lume - hope you like both of them :-)

First up the coolest IWC lumer (in my book at least) - the Deep Two:

Second, the biggest lumer of them all (not sure "lumer" is a word but you know what I mean):

Great lume and moon shots, Skule. Excellent camera, but with 36 megapixel snaps you may need a new computer too. You can do some videos of moon phase change over on the PPC too.

Nice shots with your new toy, however is the next purchase going to be new glass like the Nikon 800mm at over $17500 or a new watchor a new 2TB hard disc!

The downside of 36 Mpixels is of course hard disc space - fortunately 2TB discs are dirt cheap these days :-) And, you don't need full Raw resolution on every picture you shoot, decent JPG is good enough for most shots, then you can really use the full monty when taking pictures of brilliant watches!
On the upside you don't need an 800mm lens with this camera because the resolution means you can crop the hell out of any shot!

    Interesting topic and photos Skule.

A while ago, I tested some TRITIUM lumes, with an uncommon lens.
TRITIUM lit only very weak in comparison to SL !!!

Skule, I was fortunate to momentarily have the 3568 and the lume on those ATs generally has no comparison. Not just the brightness, but the colors are amazing also. Glad to see the D2 is no less.
