A post with the title " a Pallweber with a special dial" is a bit strange
since all Pallwebers have special dials.

I am allways amazed to see that even in such early stage of the history of
IWC, the Pallwebers dials came in so much different languages.

French, English, Dutch, German, Chinese, Russion, Spanish, Portuguese... So I
was happy to find this one to add to my little Pallweber collection.

    Portuguese or Spanish ?

Dear Tonny, the dial is very interesting, but I would like to point out that
the watch is not original because the dial was in fact sold on ebay by a
Portuguese dealer. It is therefore certain that the watch is an assembly
because the original dial has been replaced with the Portuguese dial.
Certainly from the archives this will result, comparing the watch movement
number that certainly will not be sold in a Portuguese-speaking country

I know Giovanni, but tge dial is so special, it needed to be back on a
Pallweber. By coincidence, the watch itself is possible one to be sold in
Portugal, we are still looking into that

Dear Tonny, it is very unlikely that the watch was sold in Portugal or, even
more difficult, in a Portuguese-speaking country. Pallwebers with a Spanish /
Portuguese dial are uncommon. In any case, a quick check in the archives is
enough to give an answer, which are complete for the Pallwebers IIIb. Perhaps
it would also be enough to know the language of the original dial. Only if it
was French could there be any doubt. In all other cases, a sale in the Iberian
    Peninsula must be excluded
