When MF interviewed me, I did ask for the re-release of 3712... I could not believe IWC actually comes up with not just one, but two stainless steel 3712, namely the Rue de La Paix boutique edition, and the Munich boutique edition. Both are just great to look at!
I've already asked my boutique rep to try getting one for me a little while ago when I first spotted it in the latest Watchmaker catalogue. I was told I needed to wait, as the French will get the first lot (for obvious reason). Hopefully they won't be sold out so soon.
I suppose it is indeed dangerous to get what one has asked for...
