A proud dad... and a IWC to boot

hi folks,
finally managed to get some time to share some recent defining moments for me...

my first baby boy was born on 3 Aug.
a few days before that, i took the plunge on a 500114, my very first IWC piece after almost 3 years from the date i first set eyes on an IWC... i remember it was a Pilot's chrono back then. Subsequently i was eyeing the Portuguese chrono but eventually settled on the Portuguese auto.
i also thought the watch would be a great way to commemorate the birth of my boy, and it'll be something meaningful i can pass on to him someday.
also million thanks to shing for helping me take the plunge.

Congratulations on both, the watch was my second IWC, but dare I say you missed a chance to buy the Father and Son Big Pilot, granted it's a lot more money! There is no Mother and Daughter equivalent for the next time either!

PS: For my youngest son I have a watch from his year of birth (2006) and I am still looking for a 2003 watch for my oldest son.

yeah, its been a whirlwind 2 weeks so far but its been great.

cinq: i don't plan to wear the 500114 to bed, but can't resist sneaking a peak at 3am in the morning... let's just say i've had the chance to watch the date flip on the stroke of midnight twice (actually once at 23:59:10 and the 2nd time at 23:59:55)

already eyeing a 2nd IWC piece (but no 2nd baby for now),
altho i do need to consult the wife for both of the above!
