I have wanted a IWC for a number of years now and finally too the plunge late last year purchasing a new Portuguese Automatic (5001) in SS / Black - I have been absolutely delighted with it since I got it but have a pretty active lifestyle and decided that rather than wear my Portuguese everyday and risk damaging it, I should purchase another IWC for day to day wear (had to sell it to myself somehow and this helps me sleep at night :) ). I told my self that I wanted to buy something a bit cheaper so I could justify wearing it everyday and not be too concerned about scratches etc, so decided that I should probably get a regular Pilot or a Pilot Chrono. Then I started looking around and thought hmm, maybe I should get a Pilot Laureus or St Expurey - still on the cheaper side but something little different / unique. During my looking around I stumbled across someone selling a good condition almost new Pilot Top GunDouble Chrono (3799) so though what the heck, it is a bit outside of the criteria I had set my self (was about double what I was planning on spending) , so I now the owner of a Portuguese and a Top Gun Double Chrono - both of which I am really happy with.
Just one quick question for those out ehre with a TG Double Chrono - what is the Buckle Tang meant to be made out of and what is the transcription on the underside of yours?
