A VIST TO GREENWICH, THE HOME OF MANY TIMEKEEPING TREASURES. PART Iii, hopefully

I noticed that my CF3 was dead accurate with one of the clocks in the museum. Not bad IWC.

Once the riddle of longitude was solved, Greenwich became the place for the Prime Meridian. It separates East from West.

Standing on the marker for NYC. One foot is in the East and one in the West as far as longitude is concerned.

I truncated this post to get past the sensors. I hope you enjoyed the trip. I had a great time in Greenwich. I only wish I could have seen Harrison's H4.  Next trip.

Thanks Bill for your great pictures from Greenwich and the other places you visited in London. I have been to Greenwich a number of times. But that was years ago when my girl friend (now wife) lived quite close to the observatory. Really interesting place to visit !

Great story Bill and a great place to visit for sure. It's a museum of timekeeping history that shows how travelling the world was considered more and more important in the old days. Which lead us from the mediaval age into the present and future.
