Been into watches as far back as I can remember. But the virus hit me hard back in early 2011 and since then....well you know the story!

When my acquisitions became a small collection, it became inconvenient to run to my AD every time I wanted to change straps (I like changing shoes often). So former moderator MF suggested I invest in high quality strap changing tool, the Bergeron 6767-F. He recommended this particular model as it could handle most strap/bracelet changes with minimal effort and reduce the risk of damaging the case. His advice was spot on as I have relied on this superior watch tool countless times to get the job done and it has never failed me. I can't imagine not having this dependable accessory to assist me as part of my watch hobby.

In addition to changing straps for a fresh look, I enjoy looking closely at the dial as a whole, the sub-dials, a displayed movement, etc. In order to do that in the best way possible, I researched extensively for a high-end loupe.
My choice turned out to be a Carl Zeiss double lens loupe which contains separate 3X and 6X lens that can be used individually or combined to give the user 3 different magnifications. The edge to edge clarity of the optics is without doubt.. magnificent. I highly recommend to anyone who is considering purchasing a quality loupe, while pricy, this manufacturer excels in unparalleled optics and you will not regret your decision. This is another
example of a watch accessory that makes this watch collecting hobby so much more enjoyable.

    My question to forum members....

Are there any watch accessories that you have found to be indispensable in aiding or supporting your enjoyment of watches? Be it a watch tool or a travel accessory or any item that you would recommend as part of ones watch accessory arsenal that you just would find hard to live without.

Can't wait to read your responses and what might be something I should consider as a new "can't live without it" accessory addition.

    Great topic Andy!
In addition to the above, after much experimentation, I have found the perfect canvas watch roll to travel with, which allows me to travel with up to 6 watches. Strap watches are obviously no problem, but I have cut foam strips to fit between the bracelet and caseback to prevent scratches.

IWC watches have the perfect button/pin release bracelets, but for other makes, I have a bracelet pin press that makes adjustments very easy.

    Greetings Mark,

Thanks for the reply and info about your travel " watch roll " I too share your thoughts regarding possible scratching during travel. I do have a favorite (2) watch travel box that is extremely well designed to protect both strap and bracelet models. Yet another accessory that I would say without
reservation, " Don't leave home without it ".

Your pin press sounds like the perfect partner to assist making bracelet adjustments. Preferring straps, I have only a couple of intergal bracelet model watches. Browsing some websites that specialize in watch tools and accessories, I have seen some examples of these Pin Presses. Didn't realize the scope and wide variety of watch tools there are for sale.

My hope was that this discussion topic would bring out some accessories that I would find of interest. Perhaps this thread got buried quickly as it coincided with the release of the forum site revision and all the comment activity that ensued.

So....forum friends, any watch accessory items you love to use that I might want to consider acquiring ?

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    Andy
