I bought a Portofino in NY Tourneau August 2011. Very soon it was running ahead, magnetism was the IWC answer. Later on, the balance had moved and the watch stopped, IWC answer: the watch suffered a hit or blown (I was in my car driving, not fighting, when it stopped). I had to pay for the repair, some 350 euro. Now again the watch is moving ahead with 2 minutes per week. I wonder wetter I bought a real IWC (serial number 3656048) or some fake one. I have another automatic watch (Bulgary) which is running 100% accurate for many years now.
My question: 2 minutes per week: is this within the "margins of IWC".

Short answer is no, it's out of spec. 0 - plus 6 secs per day is the spec for the current range. As for magnetism, most of us carry a magnet around in the form of a phone and some other household devices are not watch friendly either.
