    Hi Bob,

Very nice watch, it's actually my favorite one of the new pilots collection. Congratulation, take good care of it. Kind regards, Daniel

    Bob,

Congratulations on number two. Wear both in good health.

Happy new year and likely for number three to arrive in 2013 ?

That is really influenced by what Schaffhausen designs. Lately, most IWC offerings have been too large for my taste. Now if they start releasing watches in the 38-40 mm size category on the dressier side and 40-43 mm on the sports side, the odds will increase.

Great choice. I recently got the same with the leather strap. I had trouble deciding between the strap and the bracelet. Seeing your pics, I think I'll have to visit my AD and get a bracelet. What a watch! Enjoy and wear it in good health.

Many congratulations. I really like the dial color. Forget what that color is called, but it's sublime.

Indeed a super watch! I have it too, it is a treat for the eye, from whichever angle you look at it. Enjoy it!

    Kind regards,

    Hello,

I realise this chat line is almost a decade old. I have a Spitfire Chronograph
(IW3878-02, back leather strap) and was wondering how easy it is to service?
Are spare parts readily available for the 89365 Caliber and how easly is it to
get the Santoni strap replaced? Should i go via IWC or straight to Santoni?

I still wear the watch almost daily and still running amaisingly smoothly -
perhaps a second or so fast.

New to the forum. Any reply would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    GV

Hello GV and welcome to the "secret" forum - curious how you found us here?
The Santoni straps are still available from IWC - there are a number of
options, some non-Santoni that would work well also. I am not sure that
Santoni sells the straps themselves. If your watch is running only a second or
so fast a day, I wouldn't look to service it yet, it is still well within
operating specs. This in-house movement is a little more expensive to service
than a 7750 based chronograph - and at ten years, I am afraid you would be
looking at a complete sevice if you send it in, which is not inexpensive. A
    very cool watch, enjoy!

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for the reply and sorry for crashing your 'secret' forum. This was
not intentional. I simply searched for IWC Forums
    (www.iwc.com/gb/en/forum.html) and
followed the links. I really enjoy
all the pictures and discussions. Most of all all the knowledge displayed
    here!

I will take you advice and hold from servicing the watch as its working
    perfectly.

    Kind regards

    George

    Cheers George

Just kidding about the "secret" forum - we used to have a direct link on the
IWC homepage but somehow it disappered. In fact, I'm glad that it was easy to
find us;) There is a tremendous wealth of knowledge hidden in the archives
that you can also access through this alternate search:
