Congratulations on a great watch - the Romana Perpetual is very classy, and one of, if not, the thinnest Perpetual Calendar that exists. It uses the JLC Cal. 839 ultrathin base with IWC's Patented Perpetual Calendar Module on top -
Give this, IWC's perpetual calendar module - has all calendar setting "synchronized". You can advance the date, one day at a time and all complications are advanced together. You cannot select a single complication, such as the Day and advance it.
Did the day and date just become "un-synchronized" recently?
Given that the Romana is a manual-wind watch - with a limited power reserve - I bet it requires to have the date advanced several times a month.
** You need to also be very careful that you do not advance the calendar when the watch is displaying any time between 9:00PM and 2:00AM. This is often difficult to know whether the watch is displaying say 10:00AM or 10:00PM - so a tip is to advance the time ahead past midnight until all the calendar functions advance - THEN use the quick advance for the calendar if you need to advance by more than 1 day...
Repeated violations of this - could result in the issue you're having.
Now, I don't know whether this is what caused your issue -
If this is something that just happened this morning - the "problem" may actually correct itself later tonight at mid-night.
If you have noticed this for several days - then, you should probably send the watch into IWC through your local, Authorized IWC dealer for a perpetual calendar service.

Thank you for the information Richard. It seems I will have to send it to IWC for service.
Good luck - you may also want to ask...
Kristian - when you send it in for service, ask for a copy of the original operating/instruction manual, in case you don't have a copy.
