The new Yacht Club chronograph in the Portugieser family.
Finally a navigation system without that irritating voice.

Funny! And this watch is growing on me. nt
I am also giving her serious consideration (nt)
Had it on my wrist yesterday, growing indeed!
Comment and a question
Finally the Portuguese speaks in its mother language and I'm glad to say, with good sense of humor, nice, like all IWC print ads.
Regarding the watch: Does anyone know if the new YC uses the same additional plate, used in the 3714, for subdials setting at 12 - 6?
Happy Sunday everybody,
roberto
The Yacht Club Chrono carries the Cal 89360, which
is the same in-house movement as in the Davinci Chrono and the RG Aquatimer Chrono. There must have been a slight modification to have moved the date indicator to the 3 o'clock position as opposed to the 6 o'clock position as in the Davinci but it is very different to the 79xxx movements in the Ref 3717 and 3714 .
Date ring
To me it is probable that only the original date ring has been exchanged for one with the date numbers turned 90 degrees to keep the date showing standing up. That may not qualify as a change big enough to give the movement a different number.
Kind regards,
Paul, wearing steel VC Pilot's watch
I know is very different>
Thank you David for your contribution and support.
I was referring to the additional plate mounted on the dial side of the movement and the small extra bridge for wheel train used for setting small seconds at 6.
Since the movement is very different but the visual effect is the same, I was curious to know if the same solution was adopted or, not.
Jack Freedman wrote something about this modification on 3714 long time ago, if I well remember.
Ciao :)
