Just bought a blue dial Big Pilot 43 and enoying it very much. One thing I'm
envious though is the huge range of straps (aftermarket and IWC-manufactured)
available in 22mm for the original Big Pilot, wheras the selection for the
BP43 is limited to the two I have + bracelet (rubber is ordered :) ) and
seemingly these three are the only ones available at the moment from IWC
themselves.
A question for IWC I guess, will the new Easyxchange system be licensed to
anyone else to make straps? It's not a showstopper issue I guess in that
ordinary straps can still be used (assuming somebody makes them) but I must
say having used this for a few weeks now, it's a seriously cool way to do
watch strap changes.
I haven't found any aftermarket sellers doing anything specific for the BP43
yet but I guess six months is a short time the BP46 has had 20 years go grow
its ecosystem ...
