    A classic design ...

... but when it's combined with the ardoise dial, it becomes a very contemporary watch. Good pictures too. Congratulations and enjoy.

    Wonderful

    Evan,

Congratulations with your watch. I never regretted mine (which has a black dial) and agree that the regulateur is something special. Great watch indeed. Enjoy!

Exactly the shots that I was looking for

The ardoise really infected me. I also prefer the Automatic but Evan's pictures considerably increased my desire. With Bob's pictures now I am convinced. I think I will order the 500106 tomorrow.

Thank you Evan, thank you Bob

It will be very hard to resist...

    Paul,
the thought has crossed my mind, but I'm trying hard to remove it! LOL! But I'm afraid that I may not be able to resist once I see the new hand-wound. Hopefully that won't be any time soon.

I tried to take some additional close-ups but the light was poor, and my flash skills are at infant stages. I think it gives a reasonable idea what it looks like. The upper sub-dial numerals are very thick, but somehow that does not imbalance the dial. They perfectly harmonize. I have not been able to explain that yet.

    Cheers,
    Evan

The silver dial is very fine indeed...

I first started searching for the silver dial/blue hands regulateur, but when I saw the ardoise I could not resist it's charm :)

    Evan

    Thank you very much

Those pictures are quite nice actually, and give a good impression of these details of the watch. Those thick numerals were a bit of a problem in my eyes, but not with the white gold version. As with the white gold VC Aquatimer, the total watch appearance gains with strong, thick details, as the combination of white gold and ardoise tends to mellow the details. So exactly here the balance is established in quite a beautiful way. I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time.

As for the new hand-wound, well, I hope to see it in August. If so, I may become a bit poorer in the wallet and a bit richer at my wrist. Quite a good swap, I reckon.

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing steel VC Portuguese
