Back in January at SIHH Alan got me very interested in the BP DFB or as my wife now calls it my BFD. I mulled it over for months as I already had a few pieces ordered. Then at the NYC Boutique opening I saw it again in the flesh and knew the virus had raised it's evil head once again and I had to have it. (We all know that feeling all too well.)
I spoke to Patrick who spoke to Noreen who spoke to everyone in IWC about it and word came back that they would find one for me. The months passed and everyone was getting their's, Alan, SC, Shing and I'm still hearing it coming. Well, as most collectors I'm not a good waiter, "now" is too long to wait as I was getting concerned that despite the best efforts of IWC Boutique staff I was going to be disappointed. But, Patrick and Noreen didn't fail and on Thursday morning I got the call that "you might want to come by this afternoon and see what just arrived for you". As they say the rest is history and I'm a happy camper once again.

As I've said this is a real keeper.
Once again thanks to all who made it happen especially Alan,Patrick and the staff at the NYC Boutique.
    Thanks for looking.

Kevin, A double big congratulations!!! It appears the months of anticipation was well worth the time spent...because you were successful in your quest. This is a beautiful BP and I've been admiring pics of Alan's since he (and others) first posted. BTW, I've gotta meet your wife next time Ms. D and I are up that way. BFD indeed...that's wicked funny! HAGWE!

Kevin, those are good pics ! congratulations again.

Do keep us posted how long it stays on your wrist. for me it was a consecutive eight days before I was able to swap it for something else -- the longest streak to date yet for a new piece of mine.

and now ...on to the next acquisition :0

    Kevin,
I am very happy that the boutique came through for you. We have to give Oliver some credit on this. He knew this was the best of the DFB watches and he gleefully showed everyone at SIHH how great this piece is.
The BFD (I am still chuckling about this 24 hours later) is a great watch. I am glad you were able to secure it!!
Hope you enjoy staring at your wrist for the foreseeable future.

Congrats sir. Fantastic BP. Does it wear bigger than the standard since the white dial?

Patrick from NYC Boutique is a great man. Always at your service.

    Another proud DFB owner. =)
    Congratulations.

Within such a short period of time since its announcement by IWC,
the BP DFB is probably the most shared new watch by my reckon.
We should probably do a little counting on how many of the 250s are owned by forum members and friends.
Will be fun to see the overall percentage owned by members.

    BP DFB Chameleon

This is a nice looking one, the top gun logo blue color is reflecting on the hands and indexes,
a new color variant for some other limited edition later.
I personally reckon it is really a good looking white dial with blue border on
    the indexes and hands.

Kevin, indeed your wait was the longest of them all - but seeing the pictures, and knowing too how happy Alan and others are with theirs.....I know that the wait for you now, has been worthwhile.

It's a great looking watch, and I know it will get significant wrist time on your side.

    Wear in good health.
