Alligator Strap lost its Shine

Hi IWC afficionados
After several years of daily usage the Gator strap looks rather dark and poor and its feel is somewhat like soft and dull.
Is there a way to bring back the shining or should I simply buy a new one?
Strap is A22502.
Any help is very appreciated.

Give it a polish with some Dubbin or other leather oil.
That should replace the lost oils and bring back some shine.

If not, well then it's time for a new strap.
