An undisturbed view...

...at my Classic UTC!

My beloved UTC deserved a first complete overhaul after 7 years of loyal duty. Inspired by my friend Isobars, I decided to have the original crystal, without anti-reflective coating, replaced by a new version WITH AR-coating.

Although I only took one picture today, the result is just amazing. The undisturbed view at that 200% IWC-black-Flieger dial, with the blueish touch due to the AR coating, is just magnificent!!!
I think it's fair to mention that I found 130 EURO, for the new crystal, good value for money!

Just have it serviced by IWC in your country and tell them to put an AR
crystal in! The crystal is the same as on 3706 Pilots etc. so should be
available.

Indeed, an anti-reflective coating is like a time shift.

I like it and so some watches have got those treatements.
And some watches, like this Ing. PW, have got the coating by my optician. It
works and even the color of the coating can be choosen.
