Finding a Pallweber on the market is always a special moment. So it was this
time too with this one, a Pallweber with the dial in French.
I already have some Pallwebers with French dials in the collection, but this
one came in a gold case.
Most of the Pallweber watches were sold in silver cases, so I was super happy
with this find. And when I looked closer, it had the correct stamp by IWC as
can be found on some Jones cases.
The other gold cased Pallweber in my collection is one with the dial in Dutch.
A nice touch was that it was painted in the colors of the Dutch flag.
They did the same thing with the French dial ( same colors ).
The picture of the 3 Pallwebers, in English , Dutch and French was overecposed
so the colors look faded, but as you can see on the pictures of the French
dial only, they are quit vibrant still after all these years.
On the case, there is an inscription, September 85, I believe also the correct
period the watch was made.
One happy collector here:)
