I know that a few of you already have upgraded your Portuguese Yacht Club with the new rubber/leather strap from the YC Ocean Racer - and that upgrade is very understandable as the new strap gives a whole new and classier, yet still sporty, look to the YC.
I ordered the new strap from the Amsterdam boutique the same day I saw the new Ocean racer in person in that store and with another bout of forum-friend assistance from 8541, aka. Mark L, the new strap was delivered to me at the Geneva airport when we arrived for SIHH.
It took me a few weeks to get around to doing the strap exchange but when Jarrod reported his Volvo Ocean Race experience from Auckland I got the inspiration I needed. The "new" watch has been on my wrist every day since :-)
Several pictures have been shared already of the new strap but I believe none of the old VOR version, so here it goes - hope you enjoy them:
