I was hoping for some help. I came across an IWC 14k gold I believe to be a caliber 89 1948. Here's my question it seems to be an early citizen version with the serial number

    Case 1190714
Movement 1170714I haven't seen any in 14k all I have seen is 18k is that normal? I would think at that time it would be odd to produce a 14k watch i have seen a few but not IWC. Also the serial number seems early for a caliber 89 for civilians could I be wrong ?. I love it for my collection I think the history of the time period for IWC is great. Any insight anyone can provide on info about the watch would be amazing. i am a new collector and have fell in love with these amazing timepice's. Thank you in advanceI havfile:///C:/Users/DANNYT~1/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.jpgfile:///C:/Users/DANNYT~1/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.jpgfile:///C:/Users/DANNYT~1/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.jpge attached some photos for reference.

I would love to add some insight, but your photos do not show up. Please attempt to re-attach them
Or failing that - email them to me. details in my profile.

The serial number does in fact date the watch to to 1948 and Cal. 89
Cal. 89 was in production from 1946 to 1976
