As I announced on April 7th, Sothebys is auctioning a unique one-of-one St. Exupery platinum Big Pilot watch. The auction will take place on May 9th in Geneva, a link to the prior post is below.
The auction reserve price is CHF 50,000. Based upon my information, that is currently about $46,164, or 34,888 EUR.
So, here’s the deal. You can make a “bet” on what the final hammer price will be before any commissions or other charges. The entry rules are:
- Each member here is entitled to one and only one entry.
- All entries should be posted as a reply to this post.
- The guess must be in CHF (that is Swiss francs).
- All entries should have your guessed number in the subject line.
- All entries must be submitted absolutely no later than 11:59 PM (Schaffhausen time) on Saturday, May 8th.
The winner (or winners if two entries are equally close) will receive a great IWC prize. I am not where my stash of goodies is available, so you will have to trust me on this one but I will figure out something especially worthy.
That said, let’s all hope for a hugely successful auction.
