    Hello all,

as mentioned in a previous post I am interested in adding a Big Pilot to my
    collection.

I have always been interested in the big date versions from the 150 Years
edition series, however never did think I'd get a chance to try/purchase this
model as it is limited to only 150 pieces each.

There is now a slim chance I may get the possibility to purchase one. I wanted
to ask if any of you forum members own one, and if so, what are your
impressions so far? Would you recommend it over the 'standard' Big Pilot
    series?

I am also undecided over which colour is the better choice. I am fortunate to
own the Portugieser Chrono 150 Years in white and the Pilot's Chrono 150 Years
so logically I should go for the blue, but somehow it is not such a
    straightforward choice!

Wrist shots are also very welcome and appreciated; somehow there aren't many
live photos of the watch online...thank you!!!

Hi J, I have the white dial version and loving it! Can't compare to other Big
Pilot, as this is my first and only one for now :-)

Oh, don't know why the photo got rotated :-)

Thanks for sharing!!! It is such a nice timepiece. I really like the execution
    of the big date...

    BP family I
think the Jubilee Big Date BP is ALMOST my favourite BP watch. The big date
complication, the white lacquered dial and the contrast it offers against the
black croc strap is mesmerizing! Also welcomed is the polished bazel and lug
horns that supports the more "dressy" vibe of this piece.

The only setback is it's weight, and the way it sits on the dorsal aspect of
my wrist. I've honestly experienced this problem with all of my BP's when new
and have slowly gotten used to the abuse (experience), but I'm not sure any
has been this bad! I suspect it may have something to do with the croc strap?
My other (minor) gripe is the rivets on the strap, given the dressy direction,
I think it would have been more fitting to do a rivet-less strap for more
cohesion (this is something that can be easily remedied)

I also know exactly how you feel about the white lacquer dial, it looks soo...
right! I've finally secured a Portuguese Jubilee Chrono, in white, the watch
is in-bound and I'm thinking now that it might have been the wrong move due to
the similarities with the BP Big Date. You having already two white lacquered
dials, adding a third might be a bit redundant, but again, my 2c. The white
dialed versions are better received by public and fetch higher prices in
    secondary market.

My normal BP is the 5009, that too is a great watch! I strangely have never
had the urge to alter its appearance for 2.5 years of ownership! It's well
executed right out of the box!

My fav is the safari (modified its strap to black Kevlar), 5002 looks and
weighs nothing (relatively). All others are CLOSE seconds.

Wow that is a fantastic collection. Thanks for sharing! Love the Safari BP! A
pity it is so difficult to find now and only at really high prices!!

Congrats on the Portugieser Chrono! It is a beautiful piece as well and I am
    really glad to have it.

At the moment I am leaning towards the blue dialled Jubilee BP, but I guess
I'll have to try both 'live' in order to make the decision.

I guess my concern is that the blue dial may not be as timeless as the white
dial and I may get tired of it in the future...although that being said, I
feel quite silly if I were to own 3 watches with the white lacquered dial...

Fingers crossed that the timepieces remain unsold so I'll get the opportunity
    to try both!

The blue Big Pilot Big Date is incoming!!! By a crazy twist of fate I managed
to secure one piece from another IWC boutique (the one I was hoping to get
    ended up being sold).....

Photos to follow when I receive it...
