    Hello,

My apologies for a first post being Real/Fake.

I have a couple of older IWC watches and will try to contribute something
    worthwhile in the future.

For now my question concerns this one:

It is a reputable dealer and a lovely watch

    BUT!!

on the dial "schaffhausen" has a prefix "c" and is spelt cschaffhausen

    So:

Legit (some kind of feature I have never seen before)?

A spelling mistake that got through quality control?

    Fake?

I really like the watch, but I'm inclined to say Fake based on common sense
    alone.

An expert opinion would be much appreciated.

Must be a misprint, the watch looks OK to me.

    What was the dealer's explanation?

The "Seafarer's Dream" edition - with the silent "C" ;)

The dealer assures me that this is all down to a photoshop mistake by his web-
    loading person.

The actual watch has no extra "c"

Thanks a lot for the input here though, much appreciated

Hmmm...a watch seller posting photos of a watch for sale, and the photos have
been modified using photoshop? I wonder what else was "photoshopped" from the
    pictures...dents? scratches?

The "photoshop" error explanation makes me uneasy and less trusting of the
seller. But maybe that's just me...
