Gentlemen, can anyone please advise me on one thing: I've seen new Aquatimer 2000 with 2 different versions of rubber strap(flat one is the one I wasn't impressed with) - which one is newer or is it an option to buy it with either one? Appreciate an advice a lot.
P.S. And also would be very interesting to hear people's opinions on which Aquatimer 2000(black/yellow-IW356802 or black/white-IW356806) you liked the most and why? Thanks a lot.

    Rubber straps

    Hi Evgeny,

Did you see both straps in real life? If I remember well, the pictures of the press release for the new Aquatimer had straps with a diamond-like profile but they never made it into production.

As for popularity: the white dial Aquatimer is by far the most popular here on this forum. I have seen it in real life and it's a great watch.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    Clemens is correct,

the white dial version of the AT 2000 is very popular here. Mine came with the rubber strap and is great in the winter. I have ordered the steel bracelet for summertime, when the rubber one is a bit hot on the wrist.

Enjoy these shots: Dial, lume and wrist.

I think it only comes with the flat strap...

The other strap was a sort of prototype that didn't made it into production. At least that is what I think I have heard or read somewhere. The rubber is strap is very nice and soft. I also have the bracelet and that's a great addition to this watch although some people think is to much bling bling.

For me the white dial is the best, but of course that is my personal taste.

Here is a shot of the strap...

that was rejected. You can just make out the surface differences.

Thanks to everyone for opinions and pictures. So that picture from Indblr proves that diamond-like profile rubber strap HAS been made, right? And if it fits Aquatimer Chrono it must fit regular one too. And probably can be ordered separately?

No, that picture was taken at ...

the Collector's Forum meeting in Jan 09 before the watches were released. The strap was never in production or available for sale.

ook, that's sad - i'm surprised they didn't go with this one...
Flat one is a a little bit of a weak point of this truly beautiful watch.
