I did this: purchased the original velcro strap IWA36516 and removed a velcro. It looked pretty cool, next to another mesh, which I already had;
click here to enlargeShortened (cut off) about half of the IWA36516 adapters lugs and drilled new holes for spring bars. The so-prepared mount can be attached to any 20mm strap. Just find an interesting mesh and that's it :-)
