Iconic is a word bandied around watches too freely but the 3536 Aquatimer is certainly deserving of that praise.
You really need to get all three now Andrew for some "group" therapy

    Congratulations on a great acquisition

It's now time for a service - it has been running a bit slow and the crown has a bit too much freeplay in the 1st and 2nd position. It also has a few scratches and the usual desk diving marks on the bracelet from being a 10 year watch.
While the Richemont Service Centre in Sydney could perform the usual service they aren't equiped to refinish titianium.
So, its heading over to Schaffhausen for its famous spa treatment.
In a few months when it returns I'll post some before and after shots.

    Dear Members,

I need some help and advice regarding where to send a Aquatimer 3536-02 for a service the watch lives on a winder when not worn and has stopped for some reason so I think it might need a service any advice as to the best place to send the watch would be appreciated.
As ever thank you for your help in this matter.

The 3538/3548 models that replaced the 3536 were introduced in 2004.
    Myself, I prefer my 3536

    Well members

I have to say I am less then impressed with I.W.C. Services after sending my aquatimer via Fraser hart for a service and certification I now find it's going to be another 6 to seven weeks until I get my watch back not a very happy bunny !!!!

    Regards

    Walter

Well members once again I am disappointed with the level of service from I.W.C. Regarding information and keeping the customer informed I sent a watch for service a month ago still waiting for a quote after chasing this up to be told it has to go to Switzerland as I requested a certificate of authenticity and it will take another 7 weeks !!!!!!!!

Quite frankly I think it is very poor when your held to ransom and it takes so long to get any information just saying

I can understand how frustrated and disappointed you can be, longing for your watch to return in pristine condition.

When I sent in one of my ingenieurs for service a few months ago, the rep from the boutique reminded me that summer holidays are coming up--you know the Swiss, they do take their holidays very seriously. I had no problem with it. I don't need my Ingenieur back in a rush. I asked the boutique to take as much time as they need to have it serviced.

Perhaps waiting for a cert of authenticity is one thing, but my belief is always have enough watches to wear to worry about one or two needing another couple of weeks at the shop to get serviced.

Time to go shopping, I suppose? :)

Two years ago I paid about £1000 for a service on a 1973 gold Yacht Club. They
replaced the face, hands, crystal, most of the internal parts (worn out) and
even filled in all the scratches with gold and polished it out like new. I was
in receipt of a brand new faultless 44 year old timepiece and was never in my
life before more pleased with the quality of service I received. Please be
patient, I am thinking you too will be most pleased in the end.
