I'm now waiting for the delivery of a ref. 3767 2010 Cousteau Anniversary Aquatimer. I'm hoping that some of you out there can provide me with some additional info regarding this model.

I checked my IWC library and this Aquatimer does not appear in either 2009/2010 or 2010/2011 catalogues. Where did the Cousteau ad that advertises it get published?

Was it considered a limited edition?

Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Can't wait to get my hands on it. First thing I will do: get it pressure tested.

This model was never advertized in the yearly books. Until recently the following link lead to a good site but not it says 404 :( www.iwc.com/en/news/aquatimer-jacques-cousteau/
As a proud owner of the same watch I never got to knwo about anything else.
The model was not a LE, only "special edition", supposed to have been produced in a lower quantity than the preceeding few AT Chrono Cousteu models (that is 2.500 pieces per model).
    Hope this helps. Best,
    Robert

    Robert,

That is helpful. Thanks. I thought long and hard about picking this one or a blue/coral model. What sold me was that this model celebrates the 100th birthday of my hero, and is the 1st Aquatimer with a portrait of "le commandant" on the back case. A win/win for me.

Also a proud owner of the 3767 Cousteau, I agree that it is a fantastic and special watch.
In order to gain more versatility I acquired the steel bracelet and just recently the dark blue rubber strap. The latter is a perfect fit to the totalizers and the pusher rings.

The dial is quite a looker! The way it captures the light is more dramatic than I thought. Looks sweet on the blue strap.

While the English version of the release may no longer exist, here is the French version. Save the page (NOT the link) to your hard drive and run it through Google translate if your French is not adequate.

    Cheers from the cellar

She arrived safe as houses. Had to do a little cleaning up, but nothing my polishing tools couldn't handle.

Had a couple of pics...but I'm fighting with flickr
