    As I understood it's a turning clutch to transfer the movement from the outside bezel to the inside bezel ring (rehaut) to measure dive time.

    The nine o clock nipple is vital for left handed people who wear their watches on their right wrist. Someday, all watch companies will produce left handed and right handed versions of their watches. As usual, IWC is ahead of the game.
