I've come across two items that I think are amazing and showcase great style, but I fear they are forgeries.

Below are the links for 2 watches that are being advertised as IWC, made circa 1800s. Please tell me if these are real or not. Thank you!

    IWC Schaffhausen "Middle Ages"

    IWC Schaffhausen "Black Pearl"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

Both are at best converted pocket watches, at worst complete forgeries.

A converted pocket watch means that the movement of an old pocket watch has been mounted in a newly made wristwatch case. The small pin in the edge of the case is a clear indication that there is a PW movment inside. It is used for settting the hands of a PW, it has not been used on any IWC wristwatch.

The advice is to stay away from watches like this, they are almost worthless.

    Best regards,

    Henrik
