    1. Where are you from ( country/state )

    • Germany

    2. How did you become a collector of IWC watches ? What was the key factor for you to buy an IWC ?

    • My former neighbour introduced me 2012 to IWC wearing a Big Ingenieur on a BBQ. Until then, I was absolutely not interested into wrist watches. He explained me mechanical movements, heritag and the Ingenieuring approach of IWC Schaffhausen. From this moment, I felt in love with this Brand.

    Hello everyone,

I’m honored to join this wonderful community of IWC enthusiasts, and thank you, Tonny, for creating such a welcoming space for new members.

    1. Where are you from?
I’m from United state — a city that blends deep-rooted tradition with modern creativity, much like IWC itself.
    2. How did you become a collector of IWC watches?
My journey started during a visit to Switzerland, where I came across an IWC Portugieser in a boutique window. What struck me was its blend of understated elegance and mechanical excellence — it felt like wearable art. I knew then that IWC was something special.
    3. Which IWC watch(es) do you have?
I currently own the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII and the IWC Portofino Chronograph. Both offer very different moods but the same level of precision and craftsmanship that defines the brand.
    4. What is your next IWC or holy grail?
The Big Pilot’s Watch 43 is at the top of my wish list. Its bold presence and iconic crown design are simply irresistible. For me, it’s the perfect fusion of legacy and daily wearability.
    5. Are you interested in meeting other collectors?
Definitely! I believe shared passions create lasting friendships. I’d love to connect at a collectors’ gathering someday.
    6. Your profession and hobbies?
I work in the design and branding industry, which probably explains my appreciation for craftsmanship and detail. Outside of horology, I’m an avid fan of character art and Japanese pop culture — my workspace is full of inspiration, including favorites like The charm and expressiveness of those designs provide a refreshing contrast to the mechanical precision of watchmaking.

Looking forward to learning from all of you and sharing this journey.

    Warm regards,
    James Elon

James Elon, I am not familiar with the city you call United state, could you tell me which state that is in?

Hi, I'm Herry. I'm new to IWC and really admire their design and history. I don’t own one yet, but the Portugieser Chronograph is on my wishlist. I'm a digital marketer and love tech and watches. Excited to be here and learn more!

Connecting with fellow IWC collectors is always a rewarding experience, as each journey into the world of fine timepieces is uniquely personal. I’m originally from [Your Country/State], and my path into IWC collecting began with a fascination for precision engineering and timeless design. What drew me specifically to IWC was their legacy of craftsmanship combined with a modern, understated elegance. The first piece I acquired was the IWC Portugieser Chronograph, a watch that immediately resonated with me due to its clean lines and rich horological history.

Currently, my collection includes the Portugieser and the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII, both of which offer different but equally compelling character. My dream addition would be the IWC Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar the complexity and design make it a true grail piece. I'm definitely open to attending collector meetups, as sharing stories and knowledge with like-minded enthusiasts enhances the experience. Outside of watches, I work in [Your Profession], and enjoy hobbies like photography and vintage car restoration, which also demand attention to detail—something that aligns perfectly with the appreciation of fine watches.

    Hello.

    Where are you from?
I’m the South Coast of England. Any further South, and you will have wet feet.

How did you become a collector of IWC watches?
I was working on and off in Zurich, Switzerland for three years. I went through phases of wanting TAG, Omega, Breitling and Rolex without actually buying any of them. Then I visited Bucherer where I saw the range of IWC Pilots Watches. I loved the simplicity and the "below the radar" nature of them, did some research into the history and the engineering, and HAD to have one.

Which IWC watch(es) do you have?
IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XX Patrouille Suisse

IWC Big Pilot’s Watch 43 Stainless Steel

IWC Big Pilot's Watch 43 Edition "Mr Porter"

IWC Big Pilot’s Watch IWC Racing Works

Seiko 5 Sports Field Watch (whoops)

What is your next IWC or holy grail?
Possible: Ingenieur Automatic 42 in black

Not Possible: IWC Portugieser Sidérale Scafusia

Are you interested in meeting other collectors?
    Unsure.

    Your profession and hobbies?

    I.T. Things.
Hobbies include floating around in the sea on a boat.
