Just bought a watch by chance online through a well known pawn shop here in Sweden. I have no idea what year or model the watch is just that it is a 33mm 18k gold IWC. No further information available. Anyone that have any sugestions about what type of watch this could be?

I wont recieve it another 10 days so I cant look up any serial number for now but i hope my 1000 dollars were well spent.

Not much visible from the photo
but the small seconds gives a clue so it could be either:

    Cal 83 - made 1930 to 1947
    or
    Cal 88 - made 1946 to 1964

Thank you for your time Mark! You are right, terrible resolution and picture. Here is the small second picture instead. /site_media/ckeditor_images/3c4ad410e40fe9dabb48302f0c067962.jpg

    Looks very nice
From the hands, I’m gonna guess Cal 88.

But without seeing the movement and number,
    nothing is certain.

Very nice buy, a piece of history and in good condition it seems.
I follow Mark in his opinion.
    Congrats.

looks like an IWC 14k Rose-Gold Calibre 88 (Sub-seconds) in good condition.
Saw a similar watch (see pics) auctioned for double that price..

A very handsome timepiece, with classic looks.

it also looks to be in a fair condition, and if looked after and serviced will give you years of enjoyment.

Well done, and wear in good health.
