Back to the forum after too much time

Ciao from Vicenza,
I have been so busy in the last few months that I couldn't even dedicate a little time to the forum, so there's a lot I need to catch up (probably more than two months of reading).
Probably next week I'll be finished with the baklog and will come back with some posts.
In the meanwhile I al posting here a couple of picture of my 5001 with its new summer shoes by Kaufmann. Actually the order was placed befor last summer but for some reason it took a while. With the help of a fellow forumer, Funke, the project was finalized and here is the result.
Well, I am sure comments will vary, it is definitely not a classic strap, but I thought that a light sporty touch, UTC like strap with the red stitching that recalls the power reserve dial, (thanks for the suggestion Funke), would be ok to be ready for a nice summer.

Good to see you found some time to check in on the Forum.

As for the strap: I prefer a more low-profile look in the Portuguese Automatic myself. For the summer, I have it on a tan brown croco strap.

I do understand your idea though, I have been thinking of putting a yellow rubber strap on my Breitling Navitimer a while ago but in the end, I decided not to do it :-)

I have once tried a steel bracelet on the Portuguese Automatic, that was considered blasphemy but hey, if you don't try, you don't know how it looks like.

I like the strap

It looks both very classy, fresh and cheerful, fit for summertime. But the watch itself becomes a bit pale with this strap. I wonder how the strap would look on the same watch with the black dial, that could be an absolute stunning combination. Do you have a black watch at the right size to try this on?
