New member here so please be gentle with me, I have a couple of IWC watches and have just made my most expensive purchase, just want to make sure I am not totally crazy.
I just agreed to buy (well px a Rolex Yachtmaster as well) a 3713 023
I've not found a huge amount of information on the Platinum version of the 3713
Wonder if any of you guys can help me with some information on years and numbers made?
    TIA
    Adrian

I don't have a clue how many of those were made but it can't be a high number. Quite a rare bird I'd guess.

I haven't been able to learn how many were produced - this was not a limited edition although the watches were individually numbered - what number is yours? This watch was produced with several different language date wheels; I am also curious which language you have. With the case number you can get an idea of the production date of that particular piece using the "date your IWC" applet:

A very cool watch, especially in platinum! Please do post some photos.

Thanks for the help, I collect the watch on Saturday so I'll be sure to look up the date on the link provided
I'll also look for any individual numbers on the case back as well.
Just for reference it does have an English date wheel or I probably  would have not bought it.
I'll also post some pictures when I get the chance, I was very lucky to get the watch, my dealer messaged half a dozen of his "special" watch guys and I got there first ;-)
