Mostly around the farm I have a non IWC dive watch where the movement of the bezel is used to time anything from the time it takes for cows to calf to counting things by moving the bezel a notch (I like the convenience of a quick twist of the bezel) and the IWC 3707 GST chronograph gets used for point-to-point times when I have the road bike out for a blast.

What do you use the bezel of your dive watch or your chronograph to measure?

    Cheers from the cellar

I don't have one Greg, but I love that 3707 GST!

    Nice topic Greg,
Being a city dweller, when wearing a dive watch, I use the twist of the bezel to record the time remaining for my parking meters.

If wearing a chronograph, I stop the seconds hand at the time of expiry of the meter to remind me. Otherwise chronos are used for timing all manner of things - cooking times, driving times and paddling times when on a canoe or kayak trip.

My 3707-08 is at IWC Canada having a new clasp fitted and I'm told, should be ready in a week or two :-)

I use the bezel on my Aquatimer to keep track of how long I have been in the water when I snorkel in Rarotonga. Not really necessary, useful and fun.

I also use the chronograph on the same watch to time my runs.

    Cheers,

    Jarrod

I wish I could say I use my bezel/chronographs to measure lap times in my F1 but the reality is much more mundane e.g. cooking times, how long to water the lawn/garden, time it takes to drink a glass (or bottle) of nice red!

    Cheers

    Peter
