    Hi All,

The Big Pilot is in my opinion the best looking watch on the market and I have wanted one for some time now...However, there has been so much talk about the issues with accuracy that it has really affected my perception of this timepiece and put a purchase on hold.

For those of you that may have have purchased one recently, I am interested to know whether this accuracy issue has been improved by IWC or if it is still common to gain in the order of 7-15sec p/day (as seems to be the general feedback on various forums)

Having purchased an IWC Mission Earth several months ago that keeps time so accurately its almost bizarre (less than 0.5 sec p/day average gain) I cannot bring myself to purchase the BP knowing it might keep time poorly.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards

My Big Pilot from 2004 experienced 5 sec/day...

Which is quite exceptional - considering a 7-day automatic movement.

    Thanks David

...I guess youre right mate. It is an outstanding watch and its not the first time I have been told to "loosen up' on the accuracy thing.

    On cal. 5000 watches...

I have a PPC with a cal. 5000 7-day movement that during one month, I guess due to my wearing and storage habits, deviated by a grand total of 8 seconds -in one month. Go figure.

Big Pilot 5004 Accuracy - Is this getting better?

If i rest my 5002 crown down, then the gain is reduced.
