Few would argue that the English Football Premiership equivalent in London would be...
Spurs vs Arsenal.
Although truth be told for the longest time it’s been more than one-sided with our North London rivals finishing above us in the league for the last, um… 18 years! (It’s like being a pre-2004 Red Sox fan against the Yankees all over again).
Nevertheless… that’s the fun of sports… eternal optimism!

Okay so the fussball DFB would be much more appropriate, but here’s his far east cousin (Big Pilot Tribute To Japan)...
Waiting for the train to cut across town. Sunny blue skies… could this be an omen?
Reading the paper on the train… (indeed after years of pain will this be the year?)
Arriving at Seven Sisters Tube Station, North-East London
Train, Tube, Bus…
yes I think getting to the Airport is quicker!
Outside the stadium – such a heated rivalry the Arsenal fans have to arrive under armed guard! LOL
And we have arrived at White Hart Lane… home of the Tottenham Hotspurs
The line-ups
(keep note of our No 11 Gareth Bale... a potential Jordan/Ronaldo/Ali/Brown/Federer in the making)
Mind you Language?
(at a football game? no chance...) =P
The teams lining up.
And we’re off!
And so what happened?
Well, let’s just say I’m keeping this programme as a souvenir:
Spurs win 2-1. Bale scores his 9th in 7 games. Spurs are 3rd in the table, top team in London above Chelsea & (7 points above) Arsenal. But still 10 games left… so we’ll see.
And let’s hope we stay up here, cause if we do you just might have to join me next year on some more Big Pilot adventures against the likes of Barcelona, AC/Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, ParisSG or Real Madrid…
Thanks for reading,
Thang
